This wedding has been much anticipated on the blog. I am so excited to post it for you. Aaron and Janel’s wedding was absolute JOY! I know this may come as a shock to people who aren’t in the wedding industry but – there are weddings that I leave questioning the strength of the commitment made. There are times I feel like I need to check the pulse of the couple and the wedding party. I’m not kidding! It makes me sad. But the Bogie wedding……… not the case in the least. Aaron and Janel’s wedding was one that I left with full confidence that they will be sitting on their front porch together rocking on rocking chairs and watching their grand-kids play. Their love is real and deep and contagious. I loved their wedding party and that they were fun and showed enthusiasm for their friends. The whole day was perfection!
When I arrived at Mustard Seed Gardens for their wedding day I had this familiar feeling come over me. I shot a wedding there 11 years ago. It has changed a lot since 2003 and was just the perfect place for Aaron and Janel to tie the knot. The owners and staff at Mustard Seed Gardens were so hospitable and kind. They have a top-notch wedding business.
Aaron and Janel, you been such a precious couple to work with from day one. I love you guys and am so blessed to have been your wedding photographer. Thanks for plugging along throughout the day so we could get the job done and still have time to breathe. I will always remember your engagement shoot and wedding day!
Enjoy some of my wedding day favorites!
Meet the Newlyweds: Aaron and Janel
Wedding Date: June 14, 2014
Location: Mustard Seed Gardens, Noblesville, IN
The shoes……… gorgeous! All of the details in the house at MSG were so gorgeous. It was the perfect setting for all of the getting ready moments.I loved that Janel’s mom and bridesmaids gathered around her and helped her get ready in every aspect. It was fun to watch them in action.Janel reading a special note from Aaron before their first look. Melt my heart! How they met: Aaron and Janel met in high school. She first saw Aaron in middle school by walking around the football field, like the cool kids did, during a home football game. She knew I wanted to meet him, but didn’t get that chance until their freshman year. They “dated” for a short period their freshman year then re- connected our junior year.
Engagement; Aaron was attending graduate school in Illinois and Janel had taken a position in Indianapolis so they rarely had the opportunity to be together. Her father planned a trip to Niagara falls in July 2012. One night they went to dinner at the Skylon Tower that over looked the falls and rotated as well. Aaron convinced Janel to go to the look out deck alone with him. That is where he asked Janel to marry him. He entire family was in on the plan!
Favorite wedding memories: Janel’s was getting to see Aaron before the wedding and his nervousness in hoping everything goes according to plan. Then getting the opportunity to spend five minutes alone together before everything started. Aaron’s favorite memory was playing the shoe game and watching everyone interact and laugh at every answer.
I emailed Janel a few days ago to ask her the exact color of the dresses. They are Royal/Colbalt blue. This color photographs beautifully. It’s bright and happy and really matched the tone of the whole day.First Dance Song: My Best Friend by Tim McGrawThe popcorn was a really fun treat for the wedding guests. It came all the way from Frankenmuth, MI.The evening ended perfectly with this last shot of the bride and groom. <3Vendors:
