This was such a special wedding to be part of. Truly, it was such a day of love. There is no doubt these two have a lot of love and support from each guest at their wedding. It oozed with every hug and sweet glance. There were so many happy tears!
Taylor was drop-dead gorgeous. Her DRESS, I was gaga over the sparkle. The back of it was so detailed. It shows so beautifully during the first dance photos. While editing I even had my 11 year old daughter come look at the pictures because it was just that stunning! Taylor’s mom and sister had to use a crochet hook to get the buttons fastened. They had planned that out in advance so it was easy for them to get it done.
I can’t tell you how obsessed I was with the glittery details of the day and the flowers. Let’s just chat about those for a moment. Every time I was near Taylor (which was a lot) I smelled her bouquet. She had fresh Gardenia’s and Stephanotis. It was stunning and I was amazed at how beautiful it looked at the end of the night. She chose delicate flowers and they held up. I attribute that to a great florist. Berne is so fortunate to have Edelweiss! Their work is the cream of the crop!
The reception: You know when the Father of the Bride tells you how incredible the venue looks that it is the real deal! I have photographed at Romer’s Catering many times over the last 15 years. It is one of my favorite local venues. The staff is professional, the facility is beautiful and they are so great at what they do.
Now I will let you ooh and ahh over the wedding. Taylor and Adam, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for having me. I mean it. You guys are so special to me and I can’t wait to watch your lives grow together.
Enjoy the highlights!
MEET THE NEWLYWEDS: Taylor and Adam WEDDING DATE: August 8, 2015 LOCATION: First Mennonite Church, Berne, IN and Romer’s Catering, Celina Ohio HOW THEY MET: Adam and Taylor have known of each other for quite a while because Adam’s cousin, Jaci, is Taylor’s best friend; however, they did not “officially” meet until the summer of 2013. In June 2013, Jaci and her brother, Jon both decided that Adam and Taylor needed to date, so they forced Taylor to go on a ranger ride to Adam’s house. They showed up on his doorstep and he likes to say that she never left after that. ENGAGEMENT: Taylor was in Indy studying for a MHA test on a Sunday afternoon in September 2014, and Adam texted and said he was on his way to Indy to surprise her because he knew she was having a really hard weekend with school so he wanted to take her to dinner. At the time, Taylor worked at an IU Health facility on the canal in Indy, so he took her to the canal below her office building and popped the question. Taylor said that it was perfect and SO beautiful! FAVORITE WEDDING MEMORIES: Taylor’s favorite wedding memory was their first look; Adam’s was their first dance because he said he felt like there was no one in the room but them.
