It’s a Monday wedding post. I have been looking forward to this post right along with the bride and groom. I had the privilege of going over to Lafayette 2 weeks ago for Collin and Annie’s wedding. It was such a refreshing wedding to be part of. There are times that I am exhausted after weddings. While I am the energizer bunny during the wedding day I occasionally am wiped out afterwards. But after this wedding I drove 3 hours home and was simply tired. Not exhausted or wiped out. That is the sign of an easy and enjoyable wedding!
I loved so many things about this day. The colors were gorgeous. Tiffany Blue and Red. YES! (For those who pay attention you know that my camera bags are the same colors.) The ceremony was outside – I personally love outside weddings. No matter what they’re always beautiful. The wedding party – they were fun, kind and so helpful in getting me around an area that I wasn’t familiar with. The parents. Well………… this will give you an idea of how much they took care of their photographer. Annie’s mom greeted me at the hotel and had not 1 but 2 diet coke’s in the fridge for me.
Start to finish. It was a joy to be part of this celebration of marriage. Have a blessed day. Love to all, Amy
Meet the Newlyweds: Collin and Annie Wedding Date: August 31, 2013 Location: Purdue University and the Holiday INN, Lafayette, INHow they met: The couple met through a mutual friend who was also one of their groomsmen. He brought Collin to her Annie’s house at Purdue for a game night. The rest is history.Engagement: They got engaged on February 15th. Collin made Annie a romantic, candle lit dinner and started talking about life after graduation. He told her that he wanted her to move to his home-state of TX but not as a neighbor down the street. He then got on one knee and asked her to live even closer and then asked her to marry him. The song “Me and You” by Kenny Chesney was playing at the time. That was also their first dance song at the reception.Favorite Wedding Memory: Annie said that it was really hard to pick a favorite but she loved walking down the aisle, seeing the look on his face and all of the people that they love who came to celebrate with them. Honeymoon: The couple honeymooned in Aruba.Collin and Annie, I know I said it before but thank you so much for having me. It was a PERFECT wedding day. Even the little bit of rain that we got didn’t dampen the day. You were both a joy to work with and to get to know. Your wedding party and families were both so kind and gracious. Perfection. I hope you love this preview of what is to come. Love to both of you, Amy
