Jace and Hannah were married earlier this month on a chilly, windy and misty day. But let me tell you, nothing at all dampened the spirits of the bride and groom or their loved ones. I had been looking forward to their wedding right along with them (although not in the same way of course). I knew it would be a special day filled with LOVE and it was.
I was so lucky to get the chance to meet these two. One of my best friends, Amy B., was one of their college professors and suggested that they contact me for photos. We spoke many times over email but met in person for the first time during their engagement session this Summer. It was such a great meeting and they didn’t even mind when I walked around their shoot barefoot because my shoe broke about 2/3 of the way through their engagement shoot. YES, that really happened. It’s a good thing I like to go barefoot.
Jace and Hannah, I am so grateful to have met you two. You are both so special to me and I know that you will enjoy the journey of marriage.
Enjoy these highlights below.
Much, much love,
MEET THE NEWLYWEDS: Jace and Hannah WEDDING DATE: October 3, 2015 LOCATION: Faith Chapel UMC, Huntington, IN and Lafontaine Golf Course, Huntington, IN. HOW THEY MET: Jace and Hannah met in October 2012 at one of Huntington University’s biggest school events, Olympiad. It was the day for outdoor events and it was freezing outside, so Jace (whom Hannah had never talked to before) approached her asked if he could share her Snuggie that she was using. She allowed him and they talked for hours that afternoon. ENGAGEMENT: They got engaged on their 2 year dating anniversary, December 12, 2014. Jace took Hannah to various places around Fort Wayne, starting with the Botanical Gardens where they walked around and talked about their favorite memories of the last 2 years. He took her to Starbucks followed by a horse and carriage ride around the city. Finally, they took a walk in the FREEZING cold to the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge that lights up in Fort Wayne where he had a walkway of candles and rose petals. FAVORITE WEDDING MEMORIES: Hannah’s favorite wedding memory was reading the letter that Jace wrote her during their first look and the anticipation of seeing him in that moment. Also having all of our family and friends in one place was great. Jace said his favorite memory was when he turned around and saw me during our first look. SOMETHING OLD, NEW, BORROWED AND BLUE: Old – Hannah wore a necklace that one of her grandmother’s wore at her high school prom and a bracelet that her other grandmother wore at her wedding.
