Two weeks ago today I had the privilege of photographing Jordan and Makenzie in the beautiful scenery of their current residence, Gulf Shores, AL. It was a wee bit chilly for Alabama, but since the 3 of us are Hoosiers we understand that the chill of the Gulf air is nothing like the chill of an Indiana Winter. Our first stop was a place called Fort Morgan, AL. There is SO much history there. We could feel it in the air. I’ll be honest, some of the places were kind of creepy to venture in and out of. But, since none of us had been there before we explored and captured photos wherever we could.
While driving to Fort Morgan we spotted some gorgeous Spanish Moss trees along side the road. We knew that would be our next stop. If you’ve never been to the part of the South that has these trees you are missing out. They are so gorgeous and the evening light popping through the hanging moss was perfection. Not to mention that, Jordan and Makenzie are such a strikingly, beautiful couple.
We had the entire shoot planned out ahead so we knew our time frame for driving, stopping, and lastly for the Beach. Sunset was the perfect time to go to the Orange Beach Pier for the last photos of the day. And wow, what a beautiful sunset we had that evening.
Jordan and Makenzie dropped me off at a restaurant at the end of the night so I could have dinner with my family. I am so fortunate to have extended family in Gulf Shores and treasure the quick little visits we get to have each year.
There were so many great photos to share. Here is the highlight reel.
Thank you, Jordan and Makenzie. I can’t wait to celebrate with you on August 1st. I love that we were able to have your session in Alabama!
