If you frequent this blog, then you know that wedding post day is always a favorite day of mine. This wedding was just so elegant, classy and glamorous all wrapped up in Navy and Pink. Sarah and Aaron were so happy that their wedding day had arrived and their family and friends shared the excitement all day long.
The church that they were married in, was one that I have photographed in several times. But it had been years since I’d been there. So long ago that I believe I was still shooting film at the time. But I was so glad to see that the church structure hadn’t changed. It is a very regal looking church with stained glass, arches, dark wood, pews and red carpet. I imagine many little girls have sat in the pews of that church and dreamed about walking down the aisle. For Sarah it was reality!
The wedding was so special in so many ways. Not only because Sarah and Aaron pledged their love before God and their loved ones, but I know Aaron’s family from photographing his sisters wedding. So I was among friends all day long. It was a blast! And I do have to thank Aaron’s parents for the cold Diet Cokes throughout the day. (They know me well!)
Sarah’s taste flowed throughout the day. Her dress was gorgeous and the train and veil added so much to her beautiful look. The bridesmaid dresses…Navy Sequins! They looked perfect on the bridesmaids. But the part of the day that was hard to take my eyes and camera off of was the florals. They were Heaven! I’ve never in my life seen so many pink and fragrant florals. Sarah’s wedding bouquet was so beautifully designed by Wyatt from WYSH Designs. All of the bouquets, pew flowers and table flowers were spectacular. But, I have to give a huge shout out to Wyatt for the incredible piece of art, that was Sarah’s bouquet. I described it to my mother-in-law as a Pink, Princess Diana bouquet.
The Auburn Cord Duesenberg was the backdrop for the reception. If you are from the Fort Wayne area, I highly recommend considering this location for your wedding reception. It was perfect.
Aaron and Sarah, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for having me document your day. It was a joy to be with you and celebrate your union.
Much love to you and your wedding party and families.
