Portland, IN Wedding – Matt and Alissa

This is the perfect day to share this wedding.  Alissa is in the THICK of IStep testing at the school where she works.  Hopefully this post will find it’s way to her today. 🙂

It was a joy to spend the day with this pair.  Alissa and I have known each other for many years.   Several years ago I met her at a bridal show at an area hotel, where she was employed at the time.  When I found out she was engaged I secretly hoped that she would call me and she did!  Alissa is beautiful inside and out.  She and Matt were surrounded by many loved ones on their wedding day. It was fun to watch it all come together after the planning months.

I must give a shout out to one very nice usher, JD.  He ran and got me a diet coke from McD’s before the wedding.  Now that is service!

Alissa and Matt – thank you so much for having me. I really appreciate it.

Here are a few highlights for you.  Your preview book is on its way.

Much love,

MEET THE NEWLYWEDS: Matt and Alissa WEDDING DATE:  April 18, 2015 CEREMONY: Westchester United Methodist Church, Portland, IN RECEPTION: The Overdrive, Celina, Ohio HOW THEY MET: Matt and Alissa met when she began teaching elementary technology in the Jay Schools.  Matt stopped in to work on a few of her computers, and they talked briefly; however, in October 2013 they reconnected on Facebook, and the rest is history. ENGAGEMENT: Alissa stopped by Matt’s house one night on her way to her parents house.  It happened to be Parent Night at his son’s school.  When Alissa got out of the car, Matt met her outside – which was odd.  After small talk about their day, she was ready to head inside (it was going to rain), but he stopped her and asked if she would attend parent night with him – pulling out the ring has he spoke.  FAVORITE WEDDING MEMORIES: Their favorite part of the day was being able to see and spend time with family and friends; however… a funny moment…  Alissa had forgotten that the bottom layer of their cake was fake – she could not figure out why it was so hard to cut into, and then it dawned on her.  The second layer was much easier to cut into… and delicious! 😉 HONEYMOON: A cruise in July

VENDORS: Kelly’s Kakes, Romer’s Catering
