Today I have another recent concert to share with you. I’ve been sitting on this one for several weeks. But since today is WBCL Radio’s 40th birthday, and my partnership with them allows me to photograph these incredible events, I thought this was the perfect day to post.
The energy at this concert was touchable. Little did I know that the evening would be so full of life! Following a private question and answer session between For King and County and select fans, Moriah Peters (who is married to Joel, of For King and Country) took the stage. Forgive me, but the first thing I noticed about her was her hair and outfit – because both were spot-on-stylish. But then she took the microphone and my jaw dropped. Moriah has such a gift. Her message to young girls is so positive. She is a great role model. In 2010 Moriah auditioned for American Idol and didn’t make it past the first round. Needless to say, big doors opened for her after the audition. And now she is delivering her heartfelt songs to the world.
For King and Country followed. Again – my jaw dropped. Their talent oozed from every beat of the drum, strum of the guitar and every lyric that was sung. During intermission we headed back stage for some photos of Michelle, (a WBCL contest winner and huge fan of For King and Country) the WBCL Staff and of course – For King and Country. The guys were gracious, kind and it was an honor to meet them.
A while back Luke (For King and Country) faced an illness that could have taken his life. He penned a touching song called, “Without You” during the duration of his illness. For King and Country isn’t known for their soft ballads but this song is so moving. Click here, and grab a tissue.
Now my friends, here are some photos of the concert. Enjoy!
