I have been looking forward to posting these photos since the concert took place. What a GREAT, summer night this was in Celina, OH.
This concert was in the works for many months before it actually took place. Cara Muhlenkamp is the Fair Manager at the Mercer County Fairground. She runs the fair ( which includes all of the details of the concert) like a well oiled machine. To make something as big as this happen takes a great leader and a great team. Congrats to you Cara and the team for another great fair.
The grandstands were packed out on this Friday evening with eager fans of Rodney Atkins and The Swon Brothers ready to have a fun time. The Swon Brothers hail from Oklahoma and actually grew up right down the road from Carrie Underwood. Was there something in the water on their street? You may know Zach and Colton best from Team Blake on The Voice Season 4. What an incredible duo they are. They easily connected with the crowd and showed everyone a great time. At the end of the night Colton so kindly thanked me for taking pictures of the concert. My honor Colton, truly it was. The Swon Brothers graciously greeted their fans during an exclusive Meet and Greet.
After the Swon’s left the stage Rodney Atkins was ready to show his fans a great time. Some of my favorite Rodney Atkins songs are Take a Back Road, I’ve Been Watching You and It’s America. He sang all three and the whole crowd sang along. Start to finish it was a fantastic show, full of energy and personally I was sad when the night was over.
The evening started with The National Anthem and a 21 Gun Salute. They were the perfect way to start this evening of country music.
Here are some highlights of this fun-filled evening.
Have a wonderful Tuesday,
